appalachian trail (AT)

  • 2,189 mile foot trail spanning 14 states from Georgia to Maine. The AT is well maintained moderate trail that provides plenty of wilderness and beauty.  

Iron Mountain trail (IMT)

  • This foot and single track bike trail features two different sections, totaling some 38 miles in length. Most of this trail used to be the AT until 1972 when the AT was re-routed. You can hike on either of these sections.

holston mountain trail

  • An 8 mile foot trail that extends from the fire tower on top of Holston Mountain, south to the confluence of the AT at Double Springs Shelter.

brumley mountain trail

  • A 14 mile foot trail from the parking area near Hidden Valley Lake, extending to The Great Channels parking area.

Virginia creeper trail (VCT)

  • 34 mile rail trail extending from Abingdon to Whitetop VA. Compact dirt and crushed gravel make up the composition of this trail.
